Rob Drabkin | Two Left Feet (The Way You Move) - new single and video

Rob Drabkin by Scott McCormick

With our first feel-good music post of the year, we bring you "Two Left Feet (The Way You Move)," the brand new single from Denver-based indie folk artist Rob Drabkin. With its positive, upbeat lyrics and vibe, "Two Left Feet" will get you off your feet and singing along. "It’s about joy, so much damn joy! The title makes me laugh and that’s exactly the point," remarks Rob on his Facebook page. "It’s about being unapologetically yourself and embracing your flaws. It’s about finding movement, beauty, activism, and love. It’s about releasing your inhibitions as you come home to yourself."⁣ The single is taken from Rob's forthcoming album due out in March, and is the first new original music from him since the release of his impressive 2018 album, Beautiful Day.

While "Two Left Feet" is stunning in the purest aural sense, you'd be missing out if you didn't watch the single's accompanying music video, which pays tribute to iconic American painter and art instructor Bob Ross, most commonly recognized as host and creator of the PBS TV series The Joy of Painting.

Directed by Dillon Novak, the entertaining video presents Rob creating a pretty impressive painting of a green shimmering Aurora Borealis over snow-covered mountains. It's hard to tell for sure, but it looks like it's actually Rob doing a lot of the painting, presumably with some coaching from painting and artistic director Justin Wozniak. And, in case you're wondering, no wigs were involved in the re-creation of the Bob Ross look :-)
