Nashville-based indie rock trio Safari Room brings a refreshing wave of inspiration and positivity to the music scene with "Young Water," their upbeat new single release. Comprised of Alec Koukol (songwriter/lead vocalist/guitarist), Chris Collier (guitar), and Austin Drewry (drums), the band's sound has been compared to Death Cab for Cutie, the National, and Fleet Foxes among others. Safari Room recently released the single's accompanying music video, something that was created prior to the current climate of social distancing. "We filmed the music video for ‘Young Water’ back in February when spirits were high and 2020 was in its infancy, looking bright and promising," the band tells SoundThread. "The team had a blast. Creative minds laughing and carrying on while exploring an exciting way to synthesize the message of this song."

The band reports that the single and video for "Young Water" are the first of many releases coming for Safari Room in 2020. The band expects to release their forthcoming full-length album this summer, so definitely keep your eyes and ears open for that.
