Pittsburgh-born, NYC-based indie rock artist Evan Isaac has been making music since he was young enough to make sounds. The spark for his latest single, "Preparations," originated as a demo at Evan's city apartment before receiving the finishing production touches by Al Hemberger at Loft Recording Studio, where the two tracked live drums, vocals, keyboards and other fun sounds.
With a lyrical theme that addresses the anxiety that can surface when embarking on something new, "Preparations" emanates a lo-fi, psychedelic vibe that's packed full of catchy and twangy guitar hooks, layered vocals, and mysterious yet comforting poetry.
"Take a seat on my meditation pillow I need to set my intentions today Preparations I make for anything I gather confidence but its always fleeting My flowers wilt while I tighten my belt I don’t why its so hard to do anything new"
Having relocated to NYC after the pandemic to launch the current phase of his music career, Evan currently plays shows and records around the city and elsewhere. Evan describes his genre as art-pop and interweaves layers of classic rock, power pop, indie rock, hip/hop and different eras of pop and world music.
