I've come to the conclusion that it's impossible for indie-synth duo And The Echo to make a bad song - everything they create is pure gold to my ears. This is clearly the case for their uplifting, brilliant new single, "Made For You", their first new music since February 2017. Hailing from Oxford, Mississippi, this rising-star duo has consistently been producing bright, 80's-influenced, synth-pop sounds going back to their 2014 self-titled debut album, which included the outstanding, ear-catching "Smoke and Mirrors," among other synth-pop gems. And The Echo is comprised of Morgan Pennington (vocals, keyboard, guitar, drums) and Winn McElroy (vocals, guitar, keyboard, sampling).
Lyrically, "Made for You" is about finding that perfect someone when you least expect it and are about to give up hope. It's a testament to the old adage of 'good things happen when you least expect.' The song's infectious melody supported by lush, pulsing synths, along with Morgan's crisp, smooth, soaring vocals make this single one for which you'll want to crank the volume and sing along.
