Los Angeles-based dream pop duo Moxi releases two stunning new singles ("Ivory Eyes" and "Dreamland") that both play on themes of the otherworldly or supernatural, all drenched in a melodic, powerful, electronic soundscape. Comprised of Anna Toy (vocals) and Andy Toy (keyboards, programming), the musical project Moxi came to life back in 2012, and has now recently released its third EP, Figures Bathed in Light (2017). That EP's title track immediately caught my ear with its infectious, driving melody and crisp, dreamy vocals, and sparked my interest in the band.

Incorporating elements of pop, 80's and new wave, the band's latest creations were produced by Emmy-award winning songwriter Bobby Hartry, and mixed by Bryan Cook (Radiohead, Beck), resulting in a top-notch collection of rich, synth-driven, dream pop gems. Backed with talented songwriting and creative storytelling, Moxi's unique and refreshing brand of electronic/dream pop definitely places them in the "ones to watch" category.

The vibrant and energetic "Dreamland" reasserts the upbeat atmosphere that "Figures Bathed in Light" ignited, but takes on a different lyrical theme. In their social media posts, the band writes, "Just when you thought we couldn't get weirder we wrote a song about alien abduction."

The haunting, stunningly beautiful "Ivory Eyes" showcases Anna's dreamy vocals, the duo's killer songwriting and musical versatility, as the track progresses from gentle and atmospheric to its soaring, melodic chorus.
