Norwegian pop singer-songwriter Sigrid and British rising star singer-songwriter Griff have joined forces to create "Head On Fire," one of the most exceptional indie pop gems of the year. This powerful, uplifting collaboration is literally on fire with its infectious hooks and cleverly inserted pauses, followed by brilliant bursts of resilient vocals and solid melody. This one's definitely bound to boost your spirits and brighten your day.
Music has always been a part of Sigrid Raab's life ever since she began playing piano at age seven and singing at age thirteen. In 2013, she released her breakthrough debut single, "Sun." Griff burst into the UK music scene in 2019 with her debut single, "Mirror Talk" and was named the Rising Star at the 2021 Brit Awards, becoming one of the youngest winners in the category. Sigrid and Griff met several years ago at an event and London, but only recently found time to meet up, book some studio time and write a song together.
"Head On Fire" has been garnering significant media attention since its release. Sigrid and Griff received the Best Collaboration award at this year's NME Music Awards, and have been making the rounds on the late night talk show circuit, including The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
"I think I'm losing my: mind
Over here, over you, every night
Both hands holding onto the wire
Over here, without you, every night
Sitting here with my head on fire"
