Maggie Szabo and The Trans Chorus of LA | Don't Give Up (LIVE)

LGBT Pride Month is celebrated in the month of June each year to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots in Manhattan. From a musical perspective, I can't think of a more appropriate way to commemorate Pride month than by taking in the inspirational and powerful performance of "Don't Give Up" by LA-based singer-songwriter Maggie Szabo and the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles (TCLA).

Maggie's original version of "Don't Give Up" topped SoundThread Music Blog's list of Top 20 Songs of 2017. Just a few weeks ago, Maggie and TCLA performed the song together live on the main stage of Pride in Los Angeles. The official video for the group performance was premiered by The Advocate and has attracted notable media attention.

Maggie describes, "Working with the choir and having them allow me to be an ally of theirs has been a tremendous privilege for me. I have gotten to know all of the members, their stories, and the more I become involved in this community the more I realize how much more support they deserve. The choir has been such a great role model for trans people everywhere, and their voices need to be heard."

Watch the official live performance of "Don't Give Up" below. You can also listen to this stunning live version of the song on Spotify and iTunes.
