It was just a few weeks ago that we posted about Swedish electronic band Stockholm Noir and their string of single releases over the past few months. Two of those singles - "Hopeless Dreams" and "Boy Like a Girl" - have been added to several viral playlists, and each already have over 100K streams on Spotify.
The mysterious black shadow of electronic music returns today with a brand new track, "Island", which presents a slightly harder and more techno/club sound than "Hopeless Dreams" and "Boy Like a Girl". The vocals are as dynamic and magical as those on "Hopeless Dreams", but this time accompanied by powerful techno-beats.
In their press release for "Island", the band hints of future live shows and comments: "Island is an intense song, both musically and lyrically, that takes a step toward clubs and dancefloors. It is not impossible that Stockholm Noir will enter the stage in the nearest future, and Island is a good sample of how a live show can sound like.”
