Don't let the title of the debut single from Mere Child fool you - it is definitely good enough! Mere Child is Aimee Herbert-Smith, who hails from Brighton, has been making music as part of a previous music collective, and has now embarked on a solo career.
"Not Good Enough" is a lush, soothing song that steadily and gently pulses the listener throughout the four-plus minutes of this beautiful and well-written composition. Aimee's soft, smooth vocals shine through, and are reminiscent of Karolina Komstedt (Club 8), Justine Suissa (Oceanlab) and Bebben Stenborg (Astropol, Shout Out Louds) with just a hint of Moya Brennan (Clannad).
The official single release is set for September 9 from Seahorse Music. In the meantime, take a listen to "Not Good Enough" for yourself.
Also, be sure to check out Mere Child's Facebook page and official website for more details about the artist, single release and upcoming events. "Not Good Enough" is also available on Spotify and iTunes.
